If Belgium did not already exist, would anyone nowadays take the trouble to invent it?

Such questions could be asked of many countries. Belgium's problem, if such it is, is that they are being asked by the inhabitants themselves. True, in opinion polls most Belgians say they want to keep the show on the road. But when they vote, as they did on June 10th, they do so along linguistic lines, the French-speaking Walloons in the south for French-speaking parties, the Dutch-speaking Flemings in the north for Dutch-speaking parties. The two groups do not get on—hence the inability to form a government.

És el que hauria d'haver passat amb l'Estatut si l'innocent del Mas no hagués pactat a Madrid.

Ho repeteixo.

Si Madrid no volia acceptar l'Estatut votat pel Parlament de Catalunya, ens quedem bloquejats fins que sortim al Digg (ara mateix la 5a notícia més important en les últimes 24 hores). I després quan tot el món hagi vist que España no és "una", ens dividim i santes pascues.

I recordem, Montilla no bloquejarà els Presupuestos Generales del Estado, compleixin o incompleixin l'Estatut.

I ara em vull citar a mi mateix explicant perquè votaria que no a l'Estatut de la Moncloa. Em sembla que el temps m'ha donat la raó, com a mínim en la merda de trens i autopistes.

Juny 2006: El problema pels catalans és que "seny català" dóna estabilitat a Espanya i una merda de trens i carreteres per Catalunya.

Els que tingueu mentalitat logística i penseu que encara que s'hagués aprovat la Proposta d'Estatut de Catalunya del 30 de Setembre del 2005 hauríem tingut els mateixos problemes l'estiu del 2007, jo us dic que no. Si tinguéssim les mateixes condicions fiscals que tenen País Basc i Navarra, en un any notaríem canvis. És la diferència entre patir una sagnia o tenir una transfusió de sang.
